Regarding COVID-19 (updated 8/21/20):
Pool Reservations for Parkwood Community Club
We get to swim again, but it will look different. You must sign up for a slot 24 hours before you plan on swimming. Watch your email or check our PCC Facbook page for a new Sign Up Genius link each week. There will only be 4 slots available per hour. Families with more than 4 people in one household may reserve the entire pool as long as all 4 slots during that hour are available. Ortherwise we are limited to 4 people in the building at a time excluding the volunteer or staff. NO GUESTS ARE ALLOWED AT THIS TIME! Please read the Member Letter, Covid-19 Waiver & Comprehensive COVID-19 Plan before making reservations. Your patience is greatly appreciated during this time. If you have any questions or issues signing up please contact Gypsie Gitane at 206-406-8035 or via email.
Check back frequently on Sign Up Genius as spots open up during the week. More volunteers are signing up, and we have been adding more reservations spots. Please check the entire list of spots as new ones are added at the bottom.
Note: If your phone/browser does not accept cookies, you may not see the more button to list all of the times available on the calendar so use a computer or another browser. We are still looking for more volunteers to take a 2 or 4-hour shift and sanitize after each use of the shower and frequently touched surfaces. For more details please contact Gypsie Gitane at 206-406-8035 or via email.
We are not offering water aerobics or swim lessons at this time, but we will be reevaluating as the situation changes.
Our club finances are extremely low due to decreasing membership. If you have not prepaid for the year, please consider prepaying as our financial reserves are gone.
Our pump failed the week before we reopened and was replaced with our backup pump. This means we will be operating without a backup pump until we have reserve funds to refurbish the failed pump. Donations of any amount would be greatly appreciated for ongoing club expenses or any unexpected repairs. Thank you to those that have already sent in gifts!

The nice thing with water aerobics is that it can be done at your own pace. Slow, fast, deeper or shallow will give you a wide range of work out options. Exercising in the water is low impact so great for arthritis and other joint and muscle ailments. It is also good for rehab after surgeries. (Be sure to check with your Doctor first to be sure of what you can/cannot do)
