Sharing Our Pool

Parkwood Community Club pool is a beautiful and relatively small pool. We must respect each other while in the water.

What does this mean to all of us?

Lap Swimmers – There are two marked Lap lanes on the left half of the pool for lap swimmer use. If there are no lap swimmers present, feel free to spread out and enjoy the entire pool. If a lap swimmer arrives, all others in the pool need to move to the shower room half of the pool and allow the two marked lap lanes to be available.

Families/Exercise People – You may spread out and enjoy the entire pool unless a lap swimmer arrives. You then need to move to the shower room side of the pool to allow lap swimmers to utilize the lanes.

Water Walkers & Joggers – Most lap swimmers do not have a problem with you watching out for them as you walk across but there are a few that it makes very nervous. Please check with the swimmers before you walk in between them. Within the family/exercise side please respect each other. We know it is a small area but if you work together, it can work out.

Parents/Guardians – We love seeing children enjoying the pool. A parent or guardian is required to supervise children under the age of 18 at all times. Parents, please be mindful of other swimmers while supervising your children. Please refrain your children from loud screeching or screaming.

Swim Lessons – We offer private 1-to-1 swim lessons, which are taught by certified lifeguards. Instructors do their best to work in and around other swimmers in the pool. Please be respectful of each other in the water.

All of us – Remember this is a community membership pool – get to know each other. Often you will be together in the pool, if you know most of the swimmers that use the pool with you, it will make it easier to get along.

With cooperation and respect from one another, everyone's time in the pool can be enjoyable.
